Welcome to Mama Lupe's Cocina!

Our history begins in 1995 when Efren Sr. and Elena Cardenas first opened the doors to their Mexican Restaurant. It was named after Efren’s mother Guadalupe (Mama Lupe) who shared and taught the recipes that are still being used today. Throughout the years the restaurant has been home to countless special family celebrations and gatherings. This past year, Efren’s oldest son Efren, and his wife Abby, decided to take over the restaurant and make it their own while continuing to honor the traditional Mexican classic dishes and neighborhood feel Mama Lupe’s has become known for. Efren and Abby have updated the space and feel of Mama Lupe’s while still maintaining their focus on keeping it a warm and welcoming family Mexican Restaurant.

Efren and Abby are excited to continue the tradition of bringing their two boys, Efren and Massimo, into the daily operations of the family restaurant.

Above all, the Cardenas family is grateful to all of those who have supported the restaurant for the past 25 years and look forward to welcoming many more friends and neighbors in the many years to come.
